Beautiful, Kristin, and brought tears to my eyes in sympathy with parts of your story, while it also brought up personal memories with my own pregnancies . Oh, the best kind of storytelling, dear lady.

Beautiful beginning 🥰 And if what physics tells us about time and the multiverse is true, you ARE back in time, whispering to that weeping woman on the park bench. She can feel it. As we do, reading this. Thank you.

Thank you so much, Jim.

Even though it's neither crime nor fiction, I'm glad you still like it ☺️

Yes, I have always found it interesting that what I appreciate reading covers a wide spectrum, while what I write is about is much more specific and narrow. Never been in law enforcement, never been a criminal...hell, I haven't even had a speeding ticket for over twenty years but yet I write about crimes. Go figure.

Looking forward to the rest. There often are silver linings behind the thunderclouds that darken our worldview. An enticing invitation.

Kristin, this is well-written. Punchy and succinct. A surprise ending that's satisfying. Not all that easy to pull off.
