With documentary film, as with feature film and television, there is what is called the shoot ratio – which is what you filmed versus what actually ends up in the finished film.
I loved reading this. What a great story, even if it ends up on the cutting room floor. So many regrets, indeed. We all know what that's like. Sigh...,
Kristin, here's the wisdom, ."Second guesses and regrets are part of the pain of dealing with death, but I’ve realized that trying to mentally outwit the sharper edges of remorse is often unproductive."
That may be part of the good work of grief when we come to terms and see the context.
Love this piece and the magic painting. Those "mean to be moments" are glad surprises, and grace. You made my day on Ss and I'm looking forward to the gathering less than an hour from now. You're the best!
Eggzackly! See what I mean....you guys with your "similar" names have me flummoxed. ir vs er; ri vs ir; in vs en; and you all start with K. How about we look at Katherine and Catherine or Christine and Kristine I have a niece with that one. My brother named all three of his kids starting with K, Kris, Kreg and Kim. Sheesh!. As if the "English" language isn't challenging enough, we have to deal with spelling. Yes, Gary, that's part of language....
Kristin, what an amazing story. Stumbling onto that painting, then it's title and for all of that to fall into place the way it did, was something simply meant to be. Thanks for sharing this special memory. - Jim

I know you know, Leslie ~ but we do the best we can, don't we? 💜
We do, and that's all the universe can ask.
Agree ☺️

Thank you very much, Gary ~ I appreciate your feedback! 🩷
I'm curious as to the gathering you mention, am I missing something?
No, no, my apologies. It's me and my confusion between Kristen and Kirsten again.
Ackkk!
And then there's "Kristin" (me) 😂

Than, you so much, Jim ~ I love it when moments like this happen, don't you?
Yes, nothing less than magical.
