Thank you! I keep visualizing your story as a docu series that would touch the hearts and spirits of so many. What I think is that you have the gift of writing as a portrait in time. So, whether a book or a film, it's a powerful testimony to love. A palpable portrait!
You, m’dear are the gifted one, with words that carry us to a deeper meaning. For that we are most grateful, and fortunate to have you in our little community here.
So touching, so heartfelt. This was once again, very moving Kristin. When you spoke of the ring of that dreaded phone call and how it sounded different, I stopped reading for a moment. I know exactly what you're talking about and have experienced that myself. I've even written it into stories. It's just a different ring and somehow you know it, down deep. Thanks for another wonderful Story Frame. - Jim
Very strange. It's almost angry, more insistent, more shrill? I don't know, hard to explain what you feel (and just know in your bones) but it's real. I mention it in the beginning of one my posted substack stories. I'm glad I'm not alone.
Kristin, this is one of my favorite episodes, I laughed out loud at her making you “ clean the loo” and held my breath when the phone was ringing. Is the photo of your sister or you?
Aww, thanks Christine. She was very practical about leveraging the availability of her little sister to her advantage. And yes, that photo is of her. I'll add a note about it to the post.

OMG, Gary, I love your words – 'a portrait in time' and 'a palpable portrait' – thank you!!

Yes, the phone call and knowing what is was for. So final. You just can't believe it really happened. I love reading about your memories.

It's interesting (yet sad) to hear that you understand how one ring can stand out from the others. It's a strange experience, isn't it?
