Kristin, I really enjoyed this and it surfaced pleasant memories. In the business I spent my career in, promotion many times meant relocation to other cities and states, so it was not uncommon for my family. Finally, I put a stop to it when the girls started getting older - we wanted their H.S. years to be socially stable and steady. When you think about it, buying and selling homes is a big part of a life. A home is such a central part to basically everything. There were some homes I loved, there were some that were just okay, but I remember them all. I remember every room. Thanks again for posting. - Jim

Yes, this wonderful piece brings back memories of our own house huntings, restorations, remodels along with the joys and pains that take up residence with us in that process. Because of your talent as a documentary film maker, I see such possibilities with these kinds of stories. The problem would be the reenactment unless you kept camera and recorder in hand during the process. That said, you do a great job with words. Thanks for sharing!

Such an interesting comment, Gary ~ I have actually been asked about turning this book into a film or tv series. I agree that would be kind of tricky, but I'm certainly open to the idea!

I vote for the TV series. What a good project to consider. If it moves forward, even in the initial stages, let me know. There has to be a producer out there besides you, who you may know, who would also find this of merit because it applies to so many. And, with the story, along with the visuals, I can imagine it having a wide audience. But, thst's just me and one vote, with enthusiasm.
