I was born in a rural farming community in New Jersey, an hour by train from New York City where we lived in a very old stone house known as “Round Ends.” According to local lore, it had been built with rounded corners so the devil couldn’t get in.
You're kidding!!! No I don't think the topic of Hunterdon County every came up in our talks & walks. That's pretty amazing. I was there until I was 8. Did you go to Three Bridges, too?
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback, I so appreciate it 😊
Loved it and your openness. I look forward to more. And feeling a small world connection , having grown up around Dutch Neck, NJ, on a farm road and watching my dad commute to the city every day. What are the odds?
Wonderful and personal storytelling, Kristin. Really enjoyed that and I can fully relate to the rural aspect of growing up and a modest financial situation. I felt that story. - Jim
"avoiding phone calls, dodging bill collectors and threatening notices in the mail" Sounds like a writer to me : )
😂
anyone in the arts!
And . . . ? I need to know what happened next!
I love that about you, thanks Karen!
It's set to drop just as soon as I reach my next followers & subscribers goal ☺️
Did I ever tell you I lived in Hunterdon County until I was 10? I was born in Madison and then we moved to Tewksbury.
I love reading your stories! All of them. I look forward to what you share next.

Three Bridges doesn’t ring a bell. Tewksbury is in the upper right corner of the county. It was pretty rural then.

Thank you so much, Dante, and thanks for the re-stack!
How interesting that we both had a NJ farm country childhood. How far is Dutch Neck from Hunterdon County?

Thanks, Jim ~ it's especially meaningful to me that you 'felt' my story.
You called the station?! That is SO not how I thought this would end. Can't wait for the next installment!
Hahaha, me neither, Rebecca 😂
Yes...and then??? And then???
