I traveled frequently for many years all over the North American continent, Europe (and Asia twice, 3 weeks each trip), but it was almost always business related with only very limited time for anything else. I would literally have breakfast, lunch and usually late dinners with clients and associates with meetings in between. My family and friends thought all my travel sounded so glamorous and exciting but in reality, it was work. After reading this wonderful piece and others you have written, it illustrated to me the stark differences in types of travel. A person like me, can travel to many places in this world without experiencing those places. In conversation I can say, yes, I've been to Singapore or Thailand or Japan, but I really haven't. Keep living the life you are living Kristin - and don't stop writing.
